About the Event:
Soak up the big, swingin' sounds of the small, D.C.-based band, Gretchen and the Sidecar Six. Founded in 2018, the band was designed specifically to play for Swing dancers. Their sets are full of tunes from the books of Artie Shaw, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Mildred Bailey, and other greats of the 1930s and 40s.
This dance party kicks off with an optional, complimentary introductory lesson from 7-8PM. You’ll learn some basic footwork and rhythm so it's perfect if this is your first time at a Swing dance event or you'd like a little refresher. Then live music takes over from 8-11PM.
Mask Policy:

Our events are mask friendly, and anyone is always welcome to wear a mask regardless of mask policy.
Our mask policy determination process: When the CDC’s transmission level for Orange county recommends mask wearing indoors, we require masks. This means some dances may require masks and some may not depending on the data and CDC’s recommendations.
If the transmission level recommends masking indoors, the dance will require masks. If the transmission level does not, masks will be optional.
