From the I-40, East or West

  • Exit I-40 at NC 54 and go 3 miles toward UNC.
  • Get onto the 15-501/54 bypass, headed toward Carrboro. (Cars from western Durham should already be on this bypass.)
  • Go 3 miles and exit for Greensboro St.
  • At the end of the ramp, turn left and go down the hill to the light.
  • Turn right onto Greensboro St.
  • Go half a mile uphill.
  • Half a block before the first light, turn left into the municipal parking lot.
  • Walk the last half block and cross both streets - it's the large brick church building!

Sue Hawn has been swing dancing since 1998. He has been involved in countless events throughout the southeast US as an instructor, performer and organizer. Locally, Sue holds classes at Stomphouse in Raleigh on Wednesdays with topics ranging from Lindy Hop to Charleston to "how to dance with technique and still have fun". On teaching Sue says, "My goal in teaching is to give you an informed and thought out perspective on dancing and express my joy for dancing in such a way that it is contagious."
